Provision of SARS Tax Numbers – Compulsory Submission

INTRODUCTION

The purpose of this memorandum is to ensure that all employees are properly registered with the South African Revenue Service (SARS). As part of the transition to our new payroll system, which will be implemented effective 1 December 2025, it is compulsory for all employees to provide their SARS (South African Revenue Service) tax number for you to receive your salary.


To ensure a smooth transition, please take note of the following:

1. Submission Deadline:

a. All SARS tax numbers must be submitted no later than 31 December 2025.

2. Not Registered yet : Registration Assistance:

a. A step-by-step guide on how to register for a SARS tax number online will be provided by clicking on this link, or access it on the Staff Portal or check the Company Connect WhatsApp groups for the guidelines.

3. Registered but Do Not Know Your Number:

a. Please contact SARS directly to obtain your tax number.

i. SMS: Send an SMS to 47277 with the word "TRN" followed by a space and your ID

number (e.g., TRN 9001015000881). (tested and working)

ii. USSD: Dial *134*7277# on your mobile phone and follow the prompts to select

"What's my tax number?". (tested and working)

iii. WhatsApp: Save the number 0800 11 7277 to your contacts, send a message (e.g.,

"Hi" or "Hello"), and follow the menu options to request your tax reference number.

iv. Online Query System: Visit the SARS Online Query System on the SARS website

and select "What's my tax number?" as your query type

v. Phone Call : 0800 00 7277 and ensure you have your South African ID number

ready for verification.


4. Submission Process:

a. Submit your SARS tax number to Ms Mankwana Happiness Mabulane via email

(mankwana@wisani.co.za) OR HR WhatsApp Number (0789446015) before 31 December 2025.

b. Attach proof of number by means of Notice of Registration (IT150) which SARS will be sent to you on request.


Your prompt cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated. Failure to provide your SARS number may result in delays or interruptions in payroll processing.
