The purpose of this memorandum is to provide a summary of the meeting held by the Department of Transport and Community Safety on 18 February 2025 at the Bolobedu Traffic Station (Boardroom).
Reason for Memorandum:
This memo serves to inform all Wisani/NLA vehicle users discussions, decisions made, and the action points agreed upon to improve compliance with traffic regulations and ensure public safety on the roads.
Points discussed Include:
● The misuse of flashing lights and sirens on public roads, which can cause confusion and compromise the safety of other road users.
● The illegal practice of covering vehicle number plates to evade detection, which hinders law enforcement.
● The growing concerns over speeding, reckless, and negligent driving, contributing to road accidents and fatalities.
Please ensure compliance with obeying road signs to maintain order and enhance road safety in that way we will be minimising the fines or tickets.
