Discontinuation of R1,000 Incentive for Weekly Funerals

1. INTRODUCTION

Please be advised that the R1,000 incentive for weekly (weekday) funerals, i.e. funerals conducted Monday to Friday, will no longer be entertained with effect from 01 December 2025.

2. KEY POINTS

• The change applies to weekday funerals only. (This incentive never applied to weekend funerals.)

• Last eligible date: Weekday funerals completed on or before Friday, 28 November 2025 may still qualify, provided all normal approval and submission requirements are met.

• From 01 December 2025, no claims for the weekday funeral incentive will be accepted or processed.

3. ACTION REQUIRED

• Stop submitting R1,000 weekday incentive claims for funerals dated 01 December 2025 onward.

• Communicate this update to your teams immediately.
