INTRODUCTION Float Allocation and Limits ● Each branch has been given Administration Branch floats, based on its size and needs. ● Administration Branch floats require Cash Control Department approval. OVERVIEW Please take note of the following important update regarding Administration Branch floats: ● New and top-up floats have been sent to selected Branch cashiers. ● Most cashiers will now have a total float between R500 - R1000. This process is being put in place to help reduce the high number of shortages and incorrect G4S drops during Daily Cash-ups. If you, as a cashier, along with your Supervisor or Manager, decide to split the float (e.g. between Wisani and NLA), please ensure: ✅ The float is split correctly (e.g. R250 for Wisani and R250 for NLA). ✅ The allocated float is accurately recorded on your Daily Cash-Up form. 🔔 Important: All Branch Managers and Supervisors are responsible for helping Cashiers always having enough change (in the float). Please handle floats responsibly and record all amounts properly. Security and Controls ● The float should be kept securely (Moneybox/Tin or Till drawer or Small Moneybag with limited access). ● Audits may be conducted to ensure compliance. If you’re unsure about anything, speak to your Supervisor/Manager or Cash Control Department (Marlize/Annelize). By order Annelize Rossouw Cash Control Manager
